The International One Meter ( IOM ) Class held their 2025 Region 2 Championships this past weekend ( Aug 23-24) at Cedar Point Marina in Grasonville, MD. Sailors from around the country came to compete against some of the best in the class. Sailing started off with med winds from the south and the fleet lined up on the newly cleared section of the Marina’s east shore. New Moon Tide and with passing hurricane Erin gave us extremely high tides Fri-Sun and put a lot of trash in the water and skippers struggled all weekend dealing with it. The wind stayed relatively steady all weekend with only a handful of B Rigs briefly showing themselves all weekend. Congratulations to Peter Feldman on winning the weekend with 54pts. Tony Gonsalves finished 2nd with 62pts. The next three places battled all weekend with Ken Reed in 3rd (71pts), Brian Shores 4th (76pts) and Barr Batzer in 5th (78pts).
