2024 SIN Cup (Soling's IN November) Marbleheaders of Spring Lake NJ November 03, 2024 We had a very clear and crisp morning with temps in the high 40s moving up in the the mid 50s. the winds were N – NE at 10 -15 mph. as the day went on the wind direct was still N -NE but at times there was little to no wind in spots on the pond forcing the sailors to make big decisions some made the right call others found pain. With our eight skippers on the line, we used a windward leeward course with a windward mark and offset and a leeward gate this allowed passing possibilities which made for a fun day. Racing started with Mike Campbell, Jerry Franco and Dominick Bonanno duking it out on the course and this continued till lunch, with Mike having a slight advantage over Jerry and Dominick. After Lunch Donald Upmal joined the fray with very hot sailing slowly reeling in the three front runners. This continued till the eighteenth race. The top five are as follows. In 5th place was William Sysyn #3933 with a score of 59. In 4th place was Donald Upmal #12 with a score of 42 including 2 bullets. In 3rd place was Dominick Bonanno #2919 with a score of 39 including 6 bullets. In 2nd place was Jerry Franco #926 with a score of 32 including 4 bullets. And in 1st place was Mike Campbell #165 with a score of 29 including 6 bullets.
