2024 CPM Race Week got off to a nice start with the CR-914 Regional Championship regatta.

As with any regatta it is a team event to make sure it all comes together. Judy Bonanno our PRO got things started for the 17 skippers and sailing in light 4-9 knots of wind. It quickly became apartment that the boats to beat were Dave Ramos, Scott Graf and Drew Beach with Tom Johnson pushing from behind and keeping them honest. The battle at the top was intense and mult races were won by these three skippers. We had several new sailors sailing in the large fleet (Some for their first regatta) and it was fun to see them improve over the course of the day. At the end of the day Dave Ramos was able to hold off Scott Graf and squeak by with 1.4 pts for the win and Drew Beach followed in 3rd place. The middle of the fleet saw some intense racing with 6th thru 9th place only separated by one point each.

. Judy Bonanno did a multitude of jobs other than PRO, putting together lunch, and keeping all of us in line. She earned her pay today. Thanks Judy
