IOM Region 2 Championships with twenty boats finished up today after two
days of sailing and 25 races.
Beautiful weather with Light to Med. winds and a little bit of floating weeds kept the sailers on their toes but everyone seemed to have fun and the racing was tight.

Three points separated the top three skippers with it coming down to final
few races and some great tight sailing. Barr Batzer (75) took top honors by
two points over Steve Landeau (77) and one point back was Peter Feldman (78)
in third. Gary Winton (84) in 4th place followed by Dave Ramos (105) in
fifth place.
The Corinthian award was peresented to our host and fellow sailor Rick Boulay for his generosity, support of RC sailing and great attitude when sailing. Congratulations and thank you Rick.
Thanks also go out to Judy Bonanno who RD’ed the regatta with her usual
efficiency and with the help of Spencer Graf and Tatiana Ruiz (Alex’s
girlfriend that jumped in to help). You all did a great job. Thank you.
Thanks again to our host Rick and Laura Boulay for letting us sail at thier marina and for all the extra effort that they and thier staff put in to making the regatta a success.
We hope to host the R2 championships again next year around the same time 2nd or 3rd weekend in Aug at Cedar Point Marina so put it on your calendar and join us.
