The Julie Ayres Craftsmanship and Beauty Trophy is awarded to the Star 45 owner  voted by the participants at the yearly National Championship Regatta for what they feel is the most beautiful boat and shows the most Craftsmanship in the  building of a competitive Star 45."

1999's Most Beautiful Boat!
 1999's winner, J. Lesesne Monteith, of Columbia, SC, truly deserved to win. His boat, as you can see in the pictures, is a thing of beauty.

Taz 2 is Ed Ottopal's newest Star 45 which he built in 1998.
This boat won the Star 45 "Most Beautiful Boat Award" at the 1998 Nationals.
The sails are from the newest RC sailmaker, Windjammin Inc.
